Facebook Privacy and Take This Lollipop

Students showed me this site in class. If you go to http://www.takethislollipop.com/ you will see that over ten million people liked this on Facebook and probably tried the site with their facebook account.

The freaky thing is that you have to agree to let the site access your Facebook pictures. If you want to show a teenager how freaky it is to "friend" people that they don't know, this is the site.

SMS vs. MMS

The meanings of SMS and MMS are below but I found an excellent page that explains how they are both used in marketing in the link that follows.

I will need to look at my cell plan to see if MMS is automatically included or if they charge an additional fee.

SMS - short message service - this is text only. (limit of 160-170 characters; splits into two messages if it is more)
MMS- multimedia message service - this is photos, videos, audio that can be sent from phone to phone.

WiFi Problem Solved

After returning home and trying to access the Internet, no connection could be found. After checking to see if the WiFi was actually on and that the router was OK, I figured out that I had to enable the wireless adapter in my laptop by pressing F2.

After pressing F2, the wireless signal turned on and I was good to go. I have no idea why it was off, but now I know one use for the F2 function key!
